Pearl Jam takes the unprecedented step of releasing its own series of professionally recorded, specially priced, live CDs from the band's European tour, which began on May 23, 2000 in Lisborn, Portugal. Pearl Jam's performances on the tour were recorded from the sound board and mixed by the band's live sound engineer, Brett Eliason. The shows will be released as a series of two CD sets (packaged in cardboard gatefold covers). Every show is available in its entirety.

Australia will manufacture and release 5 of the 25 titles locally. The other 20 titles will be available through Sony Music Imports.

Over the last month we ran a 'vote and win' competition on the Sony Music website - in which Pearl Jam fans were directed to a feature page to vote for their Top 5 album choices for local release (one winner receives all 25 live albums). Thousands of entries were submitted and we have chosen the following albums for local release:

fyi - the most popular album in the website voting was CD #23 - Sporthall, Hamburg, Germany (this is the only album in the series that features the Pearl Jam rarity 'Crazy Mary'). Many other rarities, covers and obscure Pearl Jam favourites are featured on these live albums.
